Get answers for some of the FAQs about our floor cleaning system
How long will my carpets take to dry?
This varies from one home to another and depends on various factors, such as the amount of soiling in the carpet, the length of the pile, the backing materials and the temperature in the property. We leave your carpets as dry as possible, but we estimate that generally they will be fully dry within 2 to 4 hours.
How often should I get my carpets or upholstery cleaned?
Much like our clothes, in order for the fibres to remain clean, fresh and healthy we need to wash them. This is exactly the same for our soft furnishings. To ensure the longest life span of your carpets and upholstery, we advise that you get items professionally cleaned at least once every year.
Do I need to move all my furniture out before you arrive?
In order for us to provide the best service in a timely fashion we ask that, wherever possible, you clear away any small items such as small tables, plants, lamps etc. You do not need to move any heavy items of furniture. All of our cleaning packages include moving the majority of furniture in the main living area (most companies will charge you extra for this service). Beds, dressers, and heavier pieces are left in place under these pricing structures. Additional charges will apply to move heavier furniture. For liability reasons, we do not move china, entertainment systems, pianos, or other valuable belongings.
How long will it take to clean my carpet?
The time frame does vary slightly depending upon the amount of soil, the size of the room, how much furniture needs to be moved, and set-up time. We will aim to be as fast as possible, without compromising with the results. For a general guide, we clean approximately 200 square feet per hour.
How does the cleaning process work?
We use a state-of art-the-hot water extraction cleaning system also known as steam cleaning. The system uses high pressure fan jets, where very hot water is sprayed onto the carpet and then extracted via vacuum. We feel that this is the best cleaning process on the market today.
What about reoccurring spots?
If a spot returns a day or so after cleaning it may have been oily or sticky and was not completely removed, or ‘wicked back’ due to the nature of the spot. Possibly it’s not a spot, but a permanent stain.
My carpet has bleached or faded spots – can you correct that?
If you have spots or small areas that have been bleached out, they may be spot-dyed, depending on the type of carpet fibre.
Can you fix indentations from heavy furniture?
No guarantee can be made on removing indentations from heavy furniture. In addition to the pile of the carpet being crushed, the backing of the carpet is indented. Heat, moisture, and hand grooming with our equipment may help, but it will take time to release it back to normal, if at all. Severe cases may be permanent.
